Precept IT have recently been enlisted to help Belfast 4 Star Hotel the La Mon House Hotel & Country Club – www.lamon.co.uk with a number of technology challenges. Perhaps the most pressing has been addresses the unreliable wifi service that is available to guests on a free of charge basis. Precept have installed dedicated Fibre to the Cabinet Broadband connections and secured these using the tried and tested solution from Mako Networks. There is a dedicated connection for the staff internet and email access in the back of house offices, and now three dedicated connections are available for the public internet service. There is content
filtering to ensure everyone of a safe browsing experience. The access points have been upgraded to dual Radio, with wireless N. These are now managed from a wireless access point controller.
During a large conference event in March 2014, where the new
infrastructure was under the spotlight, one political commentator, Slugger O’Toole even remarked on the improvement.
